Old-Time Hockey
Two days. Six teams. Sixty-six skaters. Six goalies. One plywood-and-plastic chalice that has been compared — mostly by us — to hoisting Lord Stanley's Cup. Sign up, get drafted, and chase your last chance at glory.
No stacking, no stacked lines, no "my buddy and me on the same team." Every roster is built the same way, one skill group at a time.

Rate yourself 1–5 when you sign up (1 is the top). The committee ranks every skater from 1 (top) to 10, then sorts everyone into groups of six with similar skill.
Friday, live on the big screen. Each of the six teams takes one player from every group. Six goalies are drawn at random.
Two days of hockey. Friday night: the draft, then the first games. Saturday: the rest of the round robin, the playoffs and the Cup.
Group 1 is the top six skaters, Group 2 the next six, and so on down the list. Round by round, each team takes exactly one player from the group on the clock — so every roster ends up with the same mix of skill. Then the goalie draw seals it.

Hand-crafted from the finest plywood the hardware store had in stock and crowned with a gleaming plastic chalice, the Last Chance Cup is the most coveted trophy in Garson. Probably in the whole R.M.
Your name goes on it. Your team gets bragging rights for a full year. And you get to say you won it — for as long as anyone will listen.
"Honestly? Better than the Stanley Cup. Nobody's ever let me drink out of that one."
Every team that's hoisted the plywood. The reigning champs hang in full colour for a year — after that, it's off to the archives with the rest of the legends.
The draft happens live at the rink before the first puck drops. Every pick hits the big screen. Grab a cold one and watch your teammates get picked.
